Description

If your Divi site’s Services (or Products, or Resources) nav item has grown past a simple one-level dropdown, the stock Menu module starts showing it as a narrow flyout list that’s awkward to scan on a big screen and worse on mobile. Mega Menu Builder for Divi reflows that same dropdown into a clean multi-column grid — using the menu structure you already built in Appearance > Menus. No new menu system to learn, no shortcode, no rebuilding your header in the Theme Builder.

What it does

  • Settings page under Settings > Mega Menu Builder. Pick a nav menu, pick which top-level items (the ones with dropdowns) should render as a mega menu.
  • Column count is configurable per item (2–6 columns).
  • Column headers come from the item’s direct children; column content comes from their grandchildren. If your menu already nests three levels deep (top-level > category > item), you already have everything this needs — no data restructuring.
  • Automatically falls back to a stacked, tap-to-expand accordion below Divi’s tablet breakpoint (980px). No separate mobile configuration.
  • Zero footprint when nothing’s configured: no CSS or JS is enqueued unless at least one menu item is turned on.
  • Works with both of Divi’s primary nav rendering styles — the classic core header and a Theme Builder Menu module — since it targets the shared underlying markup both produce.

What it’s not

  • Not a drag-and-drop mega menu editor with widgets, images, or custom column content — it works with your existing WordPress menu structure.
  • Not a general menu-builder replacement — you still build your menu structure in Appearance > Menus like normal.
  • Built and tested against Divi 5’s rendered markup. Heavily customized Menu module styling may need a quick CSS review after activation.

Installation

  1. Upload the plugin zip via Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, or extract to wp-content/plugins/.
  2. Activate.
  3. Go to Settings > Mega Menu Builder, pick your nav menu, check the top-level items you want converted, set column counts, save.
  4. Visually confirm on the live site.
