How it works: open a .scad file in OpenSCAD (free), edit the text/font/size fields in the Customizer panel, export as STL, slice, print. All five parts print flat on the bed with no supports at default settings.
FAQ
Do I need to know CAD?
No. Every dimension and the text itself are editable through OpenSCAD’s Customizer panel — type values into fields and watch the preview update. No modeling skill required.
Do I need a 3D printer?
You need access to one (yours, a makerspace, or a print-on-demand service that accepts STL uploads), but not necessarily own one.
What font do I use?
Any font installed on your system — type the exact name into the FONT field. No font is bundled with this pack; use your own brand font for on-brand results.
Can I sell the printed items to my own clients?
Yes — that’s the intended use. Print and sell/gift branded pieces under your own or your clients’ brands. You can’t resell or redistribute the .scad source files themselves as a package to other people (single-purchaser-use license, same as our automation template packs).
What if the LED sign panel doesn’t glow evenly?
The letters are recessed almost all the way through (not a full cut) so any text works without extra fixing — thinner membrane = brighter glow. The MEMBRANE_THICKNESS parameter controls this; drop it toward 0.4mm for a brighter/more translucent letter, raise it toward 1.2mm for more contrast between the letters and the background.
