Free Schema & Structured Data Checker
Drop in any live URL and see exactly what AI engines and Google can (and cannot) read about your business. No login, no cost. Check My SchemaAI engines and Google can only recommend what they can read
ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews, and classic search results all lean on structured data (JSON-LD schema) to understand who you are, what you offer, and whether you can be trusted — before they ever read your page copy.
This free scan pulls your page’s actual HTML and checks it against the same structured-data checklist we run first in a paid AI-visibility audit, so you can see exactly what’s missing before you invest in more content or ads pointing at that page.
- FAQPage schema found in the HTML but missing matching visible on-page Q&A content — a mismatch that can get structured data ignored.

Free Schema & Structured Data Checker
Drop in any live URL. We will pull the page and score its JSON-LD structured data across business identity, content/FAQ, trust, and technical discovery signals — the same data AI engines and Google read to understand and recommend your site. The Four Scoring Categories
- Core Business Schema
- Whether Organization or LocalBusiness schema exists so AI engines and Google have basic, machine-readable facts about who you are.
- Content & FAQ Schema
- Whether FAQPage schema is present, which is a direct input for AI Overviews and voice-search answers.
- Trust & Review Schema
- Whether Review or AggregateRating schema makes your trust signals machine-readable, not just visible to humans.
- Technical & Discovery Schema
- BreadcrumbList for rich results, WebSite SearchAction for a sitelinks search box, and sameAs links tying your site to verified profiles elsewhere.

Key Terms
JSON-LD
The structured data format Google recommends over microdata or RDFa. It's a single script block that describes a page's content in schema.org vocabulary without touching the visible HTML around it.
Schema.org Vocabulary
The shared vocabulary of 800+ types (LocalBusiness, FAQPage, Organization, Article, and more) that JSON-LD, microdata, and RDFa all draw from to describe what a page actually contains.
Rich Result
An enhanced search listing, such as star ratings or an expandable FAQ, earned through valid structured data. Google deprecated FAQ rich results specifically in mid-2026, though FAQPage remains a valid schema type worth keeping for AI answer engines that still read it.
LocalBusiness / Organization Schema
The schema types that identify a business's name, address, phone number, and category to both search engines and AI systems, tying directly back to NAP consistency across a site.
Structured Data Validation
Checking markup for required and recommended properties before publishing. Invalid structured data isn't flagged with an error in search results, it's just silently ignored, which is why testing before publishing matters.
Schema & Structured Data Checker FAQ
What exactly does this tool check?
It fetches the real, live HTML of the URL you submit and looks for JSON-LD structured data (the <script type="application/ld+json"> blocks search engines and AI crawlers read), then scores what it finds across business identity, content/FAQ, trust, and technical discovery signals.
Is this really free?
Yes. Enter a URL and your email, and you get your score immediately. No credit card and no sales call required to see your results.
Why does it matter for AI search visibility specifically?
Tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews rely heavily on structured, machine-readable facts rather than parsing marketing copy. A site with clean schema is easier for these systems to cite accurately; a site without it is more likely to be skipped, misdescribed, or left out of AI-generated answers entirely.
Can I scan a page that requires a login?
No. The tool can only read pages that are publicly reachable. It also blocks local and internal addresses for security reasons, so it cannot be used to scan anything on a private network.
What if my schema is added by JavaScript instead of in the raw HTML?
This tool reads the raw HTML response only, the same way many crawlers do. If your schema is injected client-side by JavaScript after the page loads, it may not appear in what this tool sees even though a browser would render it. That is itself a useful, common finding.
Can you guarantee a higher score means better rankings or AI citations?
No, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. Structured data is one input among many that search engines and AI systems weigh. A strong score removes a common, self-inflicted disadvantage, it does not guarantee a specific ranking or citation outcome.
What do you do with my URL and email?
Your URL is used only to fetch and score that one page and is not stored beyond your result. Your email is used to send your results and, occasionally, related AI-search-visibility content. You can unsubscribe at any time.
