Free GBP Self-Audit
Answer 12 quick questions about your own Google Business Profile and get scored across Profile Completeness, Content, Reviews, and Local SEO Signals. No login, no cost. Take the AuditMost GBP problems are self-inflicted, and self-diagnosable
Competitors don’t usually win the Map Pack with a secret trick. They win because their profile is complete, their photos are current, they ask for reviews, and their name, address, and phone match everywhere. Most of that is fixable without touching a single line of code or spending a dollar on ads.
This self-audit walks through the same checklist we use with clients, so you can see exactly where your profile stands before you spend money trying to fix the wrong thing.
What the audit actually scores
We score four categories. Profile Completeness checks verification status, how filled-out your profile is, and photo freshness. Content and Engagement checks posting cadence, message response time, and booking links. Reviews and Reputation checks your rating, how consistently you ask for reviews, and whether you respond to them. Local SEO Signals checks NAP consistency, location-specific website content, and citation coverage.
This is a self-reported score based on your own answers, not a live scan of your listing. Answer honestly and you’ll get a genuinely useful starting point.
- Several recent reviews have no owner response — unanswered reviews are one of the most visible local-trust signals to prospective patients.

Key Terms
NAP Consistency
Your business Name, Address, and Phone number appearing identically across your Google Business Profile, website, and every directory listing. Mismatches confuse Google's algorithm and are one of the most common reasons a profile underperforms in local search.
Prominence, Relevance, Distance
The three factors Google itself says determine local ranking: how well-known the business is (prominence), how well it matches the search (relevance), and how close it is to the searcher (distance).
Primary Category
The single most important category on a Google Business Profile. It has an outsized effect on which searches a listing can appear for, more so than any secondary category added afterward.
Service Area Business (SAB)
A Google Business Profile setup for businesses that go to customers rather than receive them at a storefront. The exact street address is hidden from the public, though it's still used internally by Google for ranking.
GBP Posts and Q&A
The Posts and Questions & Answers features on a Business Profile. Profiles that use them regularly send an activity signal to Google and give searchers a reason to trust the listing is actively managed.
GBP Self-Audit FAQ
Does this tool connect to my actual Google Business Profile?
No. This is a self-report quiz, not a live scan. You answer 12 questions about your own profile from memory or by checking it in another tab, and we score your answers. Nothing connects to your Google account.
Is this really free?
Yes. Answer the questions, enter your email, and you get your score immediately. No credit card and no sales call required to see your results.
What do you do with my answers and email?
Your answers are used only to calculate your score and are not sold or shared. Your email is used to send your results and, occasionally, related local-SEO content. You can unsubscribe at any time.
How accurate is a self-reported score?
As accurate as your answers. It will not catch things you do not know about your own profile, but it is a genuinely useful starting point built from the same checklist we use in paid audits. Answer honestly rather than optimistically.
Can you guarantee my ranking will improve if I fix everything flagged?
No, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. Local ranking depends on many factors including competition in your area. Fixing these gaps removes common, self-inflicted disadvantages, it does not guarantee a specific rank.
What if my score comes back low?
A low score just means there are specific, fixable gaps. Your results include a plain-English list of what to fix in each category, and you are welcome to book a free strategy call if you want help prioritizing them.
