Free Meta Ads Policy Compliance Checker
Check how your Meta and Instagram ad campaigns hold up against Meta's recurring rejection and account-restriction patterns before a disapproved ad turns into a paused account. Free, two minutes, no login.
One disapproved ad can take down a whole account
Meta’s ad review system is automated, opaque, and inconsistent, but the patterns behind most rejections and restrictions are well documented: a Special Ad Category left undeclared, ad copy that implies something personal about the viewer, a before/after image or a guaranteed-outcome claim, or a landing page that doesn’t quite match what the ad promised. Any one of these can get a single ad rejected. A pattern of them, or one serious flag, can get the whole ad account restricted, which pauses every active campaign at once.
This free check walks through the same Meta ads policy questions we run before launching or auditing a client’s account, so you know exactly where the exposure is before your next campaign gets flagged instead of approved.
The Four Scoring Categories
- Special Ad Category Declaration Risk
- Whether your ads touch housing, employment, credit, or social issues/elections/politics, and whether the correct Special Ad Category has been declared in Ads Manager for every relevant campaign.
- Personal Attributes & Targeting Risk
- Whether ad copy ever implies something personal about the viewer (a health condition, a financial situation, a relationship status), and whether a written review step exists to catch that language before an ad goes live.
- Prohibited Claims & Before/After Content
- Whether ads use before/after images, specific result percentages, or guaranteed-outcome language, and whether a documented substantiation process exists for any claim before an ad is approved to run.
- Business Verification & Landing Page Compliance
- Whether your ad account or Page has ever been flagged, restricted, or required verification by Meta, and whether your landing page matches the offer, claims, and business name shown in the ad exactly.

Meta Ads Policy Compliance Checker FAQ
Does this tool check our actual ad account or ad creative?
No. This is a self-report quiz based on your own answers about how your business runs or plans to run Meta and Instagram ads, not an automated scan of Ads Manager or your creative library. It flags well-documented rejection and restriction patterns, then it's on you to go review your actual account setup and ad creative.
What exactly does it check?
It checks eight questions across whether your ads touch a Special Ad Category and whether that's correctly declared, whether ad copy implies personal attributes about the viewer, whether ads use before/after images or guaranteed-outcome language, and whether your account has ever been flagged or your landing page doesn't quite match the ad.
What is a Meta "Special Ad Category," and why does it matter?
Meta requires advertisers to self-declare when an ad relates to housing, employment, credit, or social issues/elections/politics. Declaring the wrong category, or not declaring one at all when it applies, is one of the most common triggers for ad rejection and, on a repeated basis, account-level review. Addiction treatment, behavioral health, and financial-services ads frequently brush up against this without the advertiser realizing it.
Why is implying something personal about the viewer a policy risk?
Meta's Personal Attributes policy prohibits ads that imply or assert something about a viewer's health condition, financial status, or other sensitive characteristic, even indirectly through phrasing like "struggling with addiction?" or "worried about your skin?" This is one of the most frequently enforced policies against healthcare and aesthetics advertisers specifically, and it's often the reason a seemingly reasonable ad gets disapproved with no clear explanation.
Is this really free?
Yes. Answer the eight questions and enter your email, and you get your results immediately. No credit card and no sales call required to see your score.
What if my score comes back as high risk?
A high-risk score usually points to a specific, fixable gap, most often an undeclared Special Ad Category or no documented review step before ads go live. Your results include a plain-English list of what was flagged. Treat it as a prompt to tighten your ad account setup and creative approval process before your next campaign, not a certified compliance finding or a guarantee of Meta's approval.
