Free Google Ads Policy Compliance Checker
Check how your Google Ads campaigns hold up against Google's recurring disapproval and suspension patterns before a policy violation turns into a paused account. Free, two minutes, no login.
One policy violation can suspend a whole Google Ads account
Google’s ad review system is automated, opaque, and inconsistent, but the patterns behind most disapprovals and suspensions are well documented: a restricted category run without the required certification, a destination page that doesn’t match what the ad promised, unsubstantiated or clickbait claims, or ad copy that implies something personal about the viewer. Any one of these can get a single ad disapproved. A pattern of them, or one serious flag, can get the whole account suspended, which pauses every active campaign at once.
This free check walks through the same Google Ads policy questions we run before launching or auditing a client’s account, so you know exactly where the exposure is before your next campaign gets flagged instead of approved.
- Site content matches a restricted category (healthcare) with no certification on file — the single most common cause of a surprise ad disapproval in this vertical.

Scoring your answers against Google Ads policy risk patterns…
The Four Scoring Categories
- Restricted Category Certification Risk
- Whether your ads touch a Google Ads restricted category (healthcare, financial services, legal, alcohol, gambling), and whether the required certification has been completed and approved for every relevant campaign.
- Destination & Landing Page Compliance
- Whether your final landing page matches the business name, offer, and content promised in the ad, and whether a working privacy policy is clearly linked.
- Misleading Claims & Unrealistic Content
- Whether ads or landing pages use unsubstantiated claims, guaranteed-results language, or clickbait content, and whether a documented substantiation process exists before a claim runs.
- Personalization & Account History Risk
- Whether ads imply a personal attribute about the viewer, and whether the account has ever been suspended or had a campaign disapproved for a policy violation.

Google Ads Policy Compliance Checker FAQ
Does this tool check our actual ad account or ad creative?
No. This is a self-report quiz based on your own answers about how your business runs or plans to run Google Ads, not an automated scan of your Google Ads account or ad creative. It flags well-documented disapproval and suspension patterns, then it's on you to go review your actual account setup and ad creative.
What exactly does it check?
It checks eight questions across whether your ads touch a restricted category and whether that's certified correctly, whether your destination page matches the ad and has a privacy policy, whether ads use unsubstantiated or clickbait claims, and whether your account has ever been suspended or your ads imply a personal attribute about the viewer.
What counts as a "restricted category" under Google Ads policy?
Google requires specific certification for advertisers in categories like healthcare and pharmaceuticals, financial services, legal services, alcohol, and gambling. Running ads in one of these categories without the required certification is one of the most common triggers for ad disapproval and, on a repeated basis, account-level suspension. Addiction treatment, behavioral health, and aesthetics clients frequently brush up against this without realizing it.
Why does a landing page mismatch matter so much?
Google's Destination Requirements policy expects your landing page to deliver on exactly what the ad promises, with a working privacy policy clearly linked. A mismatch, whether it's a different offer, a different business name, or a missing privacy policy, is one of the single most common reasons a Google Ads campaign gets disapproved, often with no clear explanation in the review notice.
Is this really free?
Yes. Answer the eight questions and enter your email, and you get your results immediately. No credit card and no sales call required to see your score.
What if my score comes back as high risk?
A high-risk score usually points to a specific, fixable gap, most often a missing certification for a restricted category or a landing page that doesn't quite match the ad. Your results include a plain-English list of what was flagged. Treat it as a prompt to tighten your account setup and creative approval process before your next campaign, not a certified compliance finding or a guarantee of Google's approval.
