Check My Page

Most pages answer the question eventually, AI Overviews need it immediately

A great, thorough page can still get passed over for a citation if the actual answer is buried three paragraphs down, wrapped in a wall of text with no heading, no list, and no structured data pointing to it. AI Overviews and featured snippets extract a specific passage, and they favor pages that make that passage obvious and quotable.

This free check scans your page for the same extractability signals we build into content before it ships for clients, so you know what to fix before a competitor’s page gets cited instead of yours.

Fetching your page and checking for AI Overview and featured-snippet readiness signals…

This tool is an automated structural scan for on-page patterns associated with AI Overview and featured-snippet citation (question-format headings, direct answers, lists/tables, FAQ schema, heading structure). It cannot see how Google or any AI system actually ranks or selects citations, cannot guarantee a citation, and cannot see JS-rendered content. Treat a low score as a prompt to restructure the page for extractability, not a certified ranking prediction.

The Four Scoring Categories

Direct-Answer Format
Whether a question-format heading is followed by a short, directly quotable answer, and whether a TL;DR-style summary appears near the top of the page.
List & Table Formatting
Whether step-by-step or multi-item content is formatted as an actual list, and whether comparison-style content uses a table.
FAQ / Q&A Structured Data
Whether the page carries FAQPage or QAPage JSON-LD schema, and whether it contains a genuinely useful set of question/answer pairs.
Heading-to-Answer Structure
Whether the page has exactly one clear H1, and whether paragraphs are short enough for an extraction system to pull a single citable answer.

Extractability
How easily a search engine or AI model can lift a clear, self-contained answer out of a page's content.
Structured Data (Schema Markup)
Code added to a page that explicitly labels its content, like FAQs or steps, so search engines can understand and reuse it.
Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
The practice of formatting content so AI answer engines and featured snippets are more likely to cite it directly.

Does a good score guarantee my page gets cited?

No, and we want to be very clear about that. This scans one page's raw HTML for structural patterns associated with AI Overview and featured-snippet citation. It cannot see how Google or any AI system actually selects citations, and it cannot guarantee a citation. Think of it as a fast first pass on extractability, not a certified ranking prediction.

What exactly does it check?

It checks four things: whether a question-format heading is followed by a short, direct answer and a TL;DR-style summary, whether lists or tables are used for step-by-step or comparison content, whether FAQPage/QAPage structured data is present with a useful set of Q&A pairs, and whether the page has one clear H1 with reasonably short paragraphs.

Why does a short, direct answer matter so much?

AI Overviews and featured snippets pull a specific, short passage to display, not an entire page. A question-format heading followed immediately by a concise, self-contained answer is the single easiest structural change most pages can make to become quotable, without changing the substance of the content at all.

How is this different from the AI Visibility Grader?

The AI Visibility Grader checks whether AI crawlers can access and trust your site at all, robots.txt, entity schema, authorship, and freshness signals. This tool checks a narrower, more tactical question: whether one specific page's on-page structure gives it a real shot at being the exact passage an AI system quotes. Running both on the same page gives you a fuller picture.

Can I check a page that requires a login?

No. The tool can only read pages that are publicly reachable, and it blocks local and internal addresses for security reasons.

Is this really free?

Yes. Enter a URL and your email, and you get your results immediately. No credit card and no sales call required to see your score.

What do you do with my URL and email?

Your URL is used only to fetch and score that one page and is not stored beyond your result. Your email is used to send your results and, occasionally, related AI-visibility and content-strategy resources. You can unsubscribe at any time.

What if my score comes back as high risk?

A high-risk score usually points to a specific, fixable gap, most often no short direct answer near a question heading, or no FAQ schema. Your results include a plain-English list of what was flagged in each category, and you are welcome to book a free strategy call if you want help fixing it.
