Free eCommerce Checkout Friction Quick-Audit
Check your store for the trust gaps, hidden costs, and form friction that quietly kill checkouts before a real customer finds them first. Free, one URL, no login.
Most cart abandonment traces back to a handful of avoidable surprises
A shipping cost that only shows up at the last step. An account requirement with no guest option. A checkout form asking for ten fields before you even see a total. None of it looks urgent on a walkthrough, but each one is a proven, well-documented reason shoppers get to the cart and just leave.
This free check scans your page for the same friction points we screen for before any client’s ecommerce or lead-gen checkout goes live, so you know what to fix before it costs you another sale.
- Shipping cost isn’t shown until the final checkout step — a top-cited reason for cart abandonment in every major checkout study.

Checkout Friction Quick-Audit FAQ
Does this actually test my checkout flow?
No, and we want to be very clear about that. This scans one page's raw HTML for structural and copy signals commonly associated with cart abandonment. It cannot actually add a product to cart, cannot walk through a real checkout flow, and cannot see JS-rendered pricing or shipping calculators. Think of it as a fast first pass, not a full UX audit.
What exactly does it check?
It checks four things: whether trust and payment signals are visible, whether shipping costs and pricing are disclosed upfront, whether checkout forms are overly long or force account creation without a guest option, and whether basic commerce and technical signals (mobile-friendliness, a clear buy button, product schema) are in place.
Why does shipping-cost transparency matter so much?
Unexpected shipping costs shown only at the final step is consistently the single most cited reason shoppers abandon a cart, according to years of ecommerce UX research. Disclosing shipping costs and thresholds earlier in the journey is one of the cheapest fixes available.
Can this replace a real checkout-flow UX audit?
No. This is a static HTML scan of one page, so it cannot walk through your actual add-to-cart or checkout sequence, and cannot see anything behind a click or a JS-rendered step. Use it as a fast first pass, then bring in a full UX review for anything higher-stakes.
Can I check a page that requires a login?
No. The tool can only read pages that are publicly reachable, and it blocks local and internal addresses for security reasons.
Is this really free?
Yes. Enter a URL and your email, and you get your results immediately. No credit card and no sales call required to see your score.
What do you do with my URL and email?
Your URL is used only to fetch and score that one page and is not stored beyond your result. Your email is used to send your results and, occasionally, related ecommerce and conversion content. You can unsubscribe at any time.
What if my score comes back as high risk?
A high-risk score usually points to a specific, fixable gap, most often missing shipping-cost transparency or a checkout form that's asking for too much too soon. Your results include a plain-English list of what was flagged in each category, and you are welcome to book a free strategy call if you want help fixing it.
